About Texas First Bank

Texas First Bank’s Values

At Texas First Bank, our values stay the same—guiding us in our interactions with customers, partners, employees, and the community. They are what define us and help drive us forward.

  • Above all, be responsive, responsible, and respectful to our customers and employees.
  • Fairness: Be fair and truthful in all that we do for our customers and employees.
  • Integrity: Operate with total transparency. Do the right thing at all times and honor the confidentiality of our customers.
  • Vision Driven: Anticipate and forecast the future of financial services and how they will impact our customers and employees.

Our History

Our banking journey began in 1973, when a group of investors organized by Charles T. “Chuck” Doyle, Chairman Emeritus, purchased First State Bank of Hitchcock. The group set goals and successfully established a network of community banks in all ten incorporated cities in Galveston County by the end of the Twentieth Century.

By the end of 1999, part of Doyle’s vision became a reality: Texas First Bank could be found in all thirteen cities in Galveston County.

Now, four decades after first opening its doors, Texas First Bank operates 27 banking centers and 52 ATM locations in Southeast Texas across seven counties—Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jefferson, Liberty, and Montgomery.
